Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, .studies for emotional communication by improvisation have developed. In the studies with snare drum happiness was communicated most successfully, but in Ikoma, Sanko, Saitoh, and Akiyama(2005) it wasn't. It seems that used timbre (percussive timbre vs. piano) or physical property of the instruments made the dissonance. Therefore we conduct a similar experiment using MIDI keyboard with percussive timbre. Thirty-nine participants carried out the emotion detection tasks, and happiness was communicated most successfully. Therefore, what emotions communicated more successfully depend on used timbre rather than physical property of instruments.
