Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper describes the interference mitigation capability of a direct sequence (DS) multiband (MB) ultra wideband (UWB) system over indoor multipath channel in the presence of narrowband interference. DS-MB-UWB system employs several sub-bands instead of a wide single band, thus capable of mitigating interference by only manipulating parameters of the particular affected sub-band. This paper investigates the advantages of suppressing the power of the affected sub-band for the purpose of narrowband interference mitigation. It is found that the more power of the affected sub-band is suppressed, the more the impact of interference can be reduced. Additionally, system performance in the presence of narrowband interference is also found to differ corresponding to parameters such as sub-band spreading bandwidth, signal to interference ratio (SIR), signal to noise ratio (SNR) and spectral location of the narrowband signal.
