Production of tree crown map for forestry GIS using satellite imagery

Abstract(in English) In order to product tree crown map from forest multi-data IKONOS satellite imagery, we propose the method of segmentation using Watershed algorithm and classification of segmented regions, and then calculate outline coordinates and the attribute values from the segmented regions for producing Shape file as tree crown map. This tree crown map is useful for forest management.
