Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a method to generate a free viewpoint image (the image from a virtual viewpoint without a video camera) using multi-viewpoint images which are taken by circularly and horizontally mounted video camera array without using model information. Our method divides real space into small partial regions at first, and interpolates ray information for each partial region. The interpolation generates virtual images for partial regions and then they are combined to make a whole image. Thus, the method realizes generation of a free viewpoint image from natural images in which many objects exist in the wide space.
