Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper presents a non-supervised content-based video retrieval technique based on the sequence of symbols created by shot clustering. The proposed method creates symbols based on the similarity of shot composition in the same types of video. The retrieval of similar video scenes is processed by an error-tolerant matching between the sequences of symbols in the same type of videos. Experiments conducted on broadcast videos illustrate the possibility of the proposed method.
