Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) When we aim for the realization of wireless Internet access, it is known that the performance of TCP(Transmission Control Protocol), which is used by many Internet applications, degrades rapidly in wireless communication. In this paper, we consider the wireless Internet access system with base station diversity, and discuss the dynamic allocation method of wireless links. The feature of this paper is focusing the TCP characteristics over wireless links. While a fixed threshold value was used for allocating wireless links in the conventional system, the proposed system estimates each TCP traffic and total system traffic. Moreover, by checking the lowest throughput of each terminal, we show that our proposed method can improve system performance with arranging required terminal throughput.
