Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We propose a novel sensivity enhancement technique for electro-optic (EO) sensor. The present technique realized sensitivity enhancement with constant received light intensity by reducing the carrier component and increasing the modulation depth of received light. Thus, it allows avoiding aturation of photodiodes and shot noise limit in balanced detection, which has been widely employed for noise reduction. We successfully achieved the sensitivity of 0.23 mV/Hz^<1/2> by a EO sensor based on the technique.
