Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In data mining, searching meaningful rules from large multi-dimensional data is computationally too heavy for any real-life data, especially with floating point attributes. The complexity is two fold , 1) to find the proper combination of important attributes that really influence the decision i.e. feature selection, and 2) to find the proper discritization level for attribute values so that the rule can be put in words, like "If temperature is high...". In this work we proposed a GA. and Rough Set hybrid technique, where the searching is efficiently done using GA. and the fitting of chromosomes were expressed using rough set. The initial results presented here are encounting.
