Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have developed a highly efficient micro-chip Ytterbium YAG laser operated at a room temperature. From the experimental results, highly efficient CW oscillation of 76% for the incident pump power was obtained with nearly TEM_<00> mode. Efficient cavity-dumped oscillation of 61% for the incident power was obtained with pulse energies of 7μJ and pulse width of 16ns at the repetition frequency of 100kHz.
