Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) An optical method for investigation of oil deterioration, such as an oil for wire drawing, has been proposed. The system consists of two subsystems; an optical subsystem with a white light and four photodiode to investigate oil color, and a processing subsystem with a personal computer. The inspection analyzing method of SPSS was used for this investigation using the hue (H), the lightness (L), and the saturation (S) as well as the color data for 3 primary colors. The method can investigate the degree of oil deterioration accurately at about 100%.
