Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, IP broadcast services are becoming popular with the advance of broadband telecommunication networks. Pricing scheme is dependent on IP broadcast service providers, and most providers employ flat-rate pricing. However, time-based pricing will also be used commonly in the near future. This paper analyses time-based pricing of IP broadcast services. User behaviour in VOD type IP broadcast is divided into two viewing styles. From the simulation results, the optimal price that maximises the revenue of the IP broadcast service provider is shown.
