An Investigation for Capsule Endoscope using Wireless Visible Light Communication

Abstract(in English) As for the LED, a study of visible light communication to realize light radio communication by performing light strength abnormality is performed in comparison with the fluorescent lamp which is a conventional source of light by being superior in a reply characteristic.In late years, in a medical scene, the inspection that a burden is not lacking in safe treatment and patient is demanded. Therefore development such as a new endoscope or implanted medical equipment advances.As for the inspection with endoscopes such as gastrocameras, a burden to a patient is big conventionally so that vomiting and a pain to be accompanied with when I swallow a tube occur.Therefore practical use of the internal capsule type endoscope which I can inspect is demanded to reduce a burden to a patient just to swallow it. Therefore, in this article, I suggest an application of visible light communication to a capsule type endoscope. With that in mind, I clarify the effectiveness of HPD to use as LED and a receiver becoming a transmitter and a decrement characteristic of light in the body. From an experiment result, I show that an application of visible light communication to suggest is possible in a capsule type endoscope.
