Abstract(in English) | For elderly persons with visual impairment, they have difficulty for using Braille or PC, literacy of printed letters in vocational riryo education. As a result of investigation to grasp which types of letters are used and how students learn in department of riryo at NRCD, we have become aware of the diversity of used letters and learning support tools among the students. Especially with 0.03-0.09 eyesight, felt pen magic is more frequently used at the self-study time, and learning support tools (ex. lens, CCTV, a tape recorder and DAISY exclusive device) are utilized over 60%. It is also found that they compare and examine about learning support tools (combination of writing, reading, hearing and sound recording tools). In this research, the purpose is to develop of a note-taking (easily writing and reading note) devices and construction of learning support system for students of NRCD who have difficulty for using Braille or PC. We will develop note-taking device with combination of new input devices (cellular phone type input terminals, online handwrite recognition device, etc.) and voice support, in accordance to the change of their needs and the state of disability, and evaluate in learning. We will pursue a criterion of learning strategy and popularization. |
