| 抄録(和) | 本稿では,視覚障害者及び視覚障害ベースの盲聾者向けコミュニケーション端末の提案をする.端末は点字ディスプレイが2行に並べられておりDB4DB(Doubled Braille display terminal for the Deaf-Blind person)と名付けられている.また,この端末を駆動するためにインターネットチャットを利用したソフトウェアも制作した.DB4DBの特徴は,1行目の点字ディスプレイをユーザ自身が発信する文章の確認用に用い,2行目をチャットに参加しているメンバーによる全ての発言を表示するために用いている点である.これを使うことにより,たとえ自分がメッセージを入力中でも,視覚障害者や盲聾者のユーザが受信した他のチャットメンバーからのメッセージを認識できるようになることが期待される. |
| 抄録(英) | This paper reports on a proposition of a communication terminal for blind persons and deaf-blind persons who are congenitally blind and acquired hearing impaired. The terminal which is equipped with two-lined refreshable Braille display is named Doubled Braille display terminal for the Deaf-Blind person (DB4DB). To drive this terminal, software which is based on an Internet chat program is also developed. The feature of DB4DB is that the one line of the Braille display is for confirmation of inputted sentence by the user, and the other one is for reading all messages from members who take part in the chatting system through network. Using the proposed system, it is expected that the blind person and deaf-blind person can recognize words from chatting members at anytime even if he/she is inputting his/her words. |
