Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In all optical networks with WDM (Wavelength Division Multiplexing), before application message transmission, route detection, wavelength selection and wavelength reservation are required. In a path-multiplexing wavelength reservation, a wavelength is required to be reserved in all optical links along a message transmission route. In addition, in a distributed wavelength reservation management, it is detected that a wavelength reserving for a message transmission route has been already reserved in an optical router during an execution of a wavelength reservation protocol. For supporting such detection, two methods, dropping and holding have been proposed. However, in both methods, an execution of a reservation protocol suspends with detection of an optical link in which a reserving wavelength has been reserved for another message transmission. In order to achieve shorter reservation time, this paper proposes a parallel waiting methods in which multiple optical routers along a message transmission route wait for release of a reserving wavelength simultaneously. In addition, we design a wavelength reservation protocol CFW based on parallel waiting.
