Abstract(in English) | In the next generation network where the heterogeneous network systems are converged, we bring the new perspective on a seamless handover scheme which enables to provide the highest service quality in real-time applications to users in respective network systems as well as to switch over the system smoothly during handover. In this paper, we assume a video-phone application as real-time services. Firstly, we propose the bicasting technology using Handover Assistant Server (HOAS) to provide the highest service quality in respective network systems and avoid packet losses during handover. Then, the delay differences adjustment scheme is proposed to provide seamless handover. The result of evaluation using network emulator after the implementation of the proposed scheme shows that the scheme enables to avoid the interruption of the video pictures. |
