Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Although multihop and mesh networks using Wireless LAN have been investigated, almost all articles have not dealt with actual utilization environments. This article describes the unfairness among stations through the actual measurements of wireless LAN mesh networks installed in a building. Measurements show that the hidden terminal problem and the transmission rate of ACK frames cause the unfairness among stations. Although it has been recognized that the increase of collisions causes the throughput degradation in which the hidden terminal exists, the hidden terminal problem also causes the difference of communication throughput among originator stations. Regarding the transmission rate of ACK frames, the measurements also show that ACK frames with high transmission rate which the neighboring stations are unable to receive cause the unfairness among originator stations.
