Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper porpses an efficient algorithm for direction-of-arrival (DOA) finding using a uniform linear array (ULA) of sensors based on Maximum Likelihood (ML) criterion and Weighted Subspace Fitting (WSF). The proposed algorithm is Newton's method using an exact Hessian matrix. In our formulation, the singular points in the parameter space of the ML and WSF criterion are removed. The exact Hessian matrix is evaluated efficiently by using the version of derivatives of the Trench algorithm. Finally simulation results are shown to demonstrate the validity of proposed algorithms.
