Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Applications as visual navigation with image sensor and mixed/augmented reality have been investigated actively. In these techniques, the information of the self-location of a camera is required. In this report, we propose a method for estimating the trajectory of a camera by using outdoor image sequences and GPS information. In the proposed method, the trajectory is estimated by tracking buildings' corners on an image and matching the corners to the corresponding corners on a map. Also, the position of buildings and ground on an image are correctly obtained by matching the buildings' shape on an image to that on a map. The experimental results show that the trajectory of a camera can be estimated in a short time and the images based on the estimated camera parameters are well suited to the input images.
