Abstract(in English) In the broadcasting field, there is an increasing demand for wider bandwidth of the transmission channel to transmit the next generation broadcasting media such as Super Hi-Vision, three-dimensional HDTV, and uncompressed HDTV program materials by the wireless camera. In this paper, we introduce concatenated coding using the regular LDPC code and the Reed-Solomon (204,188) code as the FEC coding scheme for the wideband transmission signal and indicate the characteristics of its performance. This coding scheme has a high coding gain in comparison with the concatenated coding using the Convolutional code and the Reed-Solomon (204,188) code adopted by the ISDB-S standard and it can make the calculation amount in decoding to 55% or less in comparison with the concatenated coding using the irregular LDPC code and the BCH code adopted by the DVB-S2 standard, and result in reducing the circuit integration degree for hardware implementation of FEC coding.
