Abstract(in English) We have developed the PMD/CD compensator with twin chirped fiber Bragg gratings which can compensate polarization mode dispersion (PMD) and chromatic dispersion(CD). We demonstrated PMD and CD compensation in 40Gbps RZ DPSK transmission in the DGD range from 0ps to 20ps and CD range from-80ps/nm to +80ps/nm. We confirmed improvement of the degree of polarization (DOP) concerned with the penalty in 320km transmission for 40Gbps RZ DQPSK signals also.
