| 抄録(英) | A use of MR (Mixed Reality) has been explored in many areas of HMI (Human-Machine Interface) such as vehicles, assistive devices and medical equipment. It is reported that a VR sickness like a motion sickness is caused by a time lag between moving visual stimulation and body movement. We have investigated how the VR sickness can be reduced for a driver assistance system using the MR system. In this study, we evaluated the VR sickness caused by a spatio-temporal difference between the virtual image and the real image while subjects are moved. In the movement, the pitch direction is varied the conflicting (motion) frequency from 0.2Hz to 2.0Hz using a MR driving stimulator. The evaluations were performed by measuring the visual functions (dark focus and accommodation), the autonomous nervous system and the balance test (COP analysis). The results showed that no significant influences were observed at the high frequency of the motion in these evaluation tests. However, the spatio-temporal difference apparently causes a postural instability at the low frequency (0.2Hz). We also suggest that the diminished balance ability elicited by the MR driving simulator can be recovered by sound stimulation |
