Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a method to extract candidates of video section for a TV program trailer, which has a role of introducing an abstract of the program by considering relationships between a text of electronic program guide and a closed caption data attached to the program video. The proposed method selects sentences from the closed caption data which have the highest similarity for each sentence in the electronic program guide, then select video sections which correspond to selected sentences as the candidates for the trailer. Calculation of a similarity between the sentences uses Bayesian belief network. An experimental results show that 78% cuts of broadcasted trailers were retrieved by the proposed method.
