Robotic Interface Learning Voice Instructions Defined by User

Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a practical robotic interface that controls with user-defined voice instructions. Recently, a robotic interface attracts people's attention as an intermediary between complicated information home appliance and its user. The user wants to operate the robotic interface by voice instruction that is easy to input. However there are two problems. One is that the voice recognition is difficult especially at home and by inexperienced users. Another is that the voice instructions are decided beforehand. We propose to make the robot act like an infant. The user will accept recognition error by the robot. And the user will be able to teach the user-defined instructions, naturally. Based on this idea, we add infant's familiar behaviors to the robotic interface. This paper presents the effects of the familiar behaviors.
