Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Simultaneous waveband conversion of 10Gbit/s×64 wavelengths=640Gbit/s signal using quasi phase matched Lithium Niobate waveguide and its contention resolution functionality together with optical switch enables grouped-wavelength-path switching. Mechanism of nonlinear crosstalk generation in QPM-LN waveguide conversion is studied, first order crosstalk is eliminated by separating second harmonic generation process of fundamental pump and difference frequency generation process of input waveband signal, and second order crosstalk caused by pump depletion is suppressed by optical power designing of input signal light and pump powers. 16 ports optical switch together with polarization insensitive waveband converter successfully demonstrate 10Tbit/s scale optical path switching capability.
