Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) RZ-DQPSK signal is one of promising formats suitable for 40G-ROADM systems in terms of its OSNR sensitivity, nonlinear tolerance and filtering tolerance. Moreover, to add the pre-chirp may improve the tolerance of RZ-DQPSK to fiber nonlinearity. Chirped RZ-DQPSK signals, however, have wider spectra and may be less tolerant to optical filtering than chirp-free RZ-DQPSK signal. In this paper, we show the nonlinear tolerance of Chirped RZ-DQPSK, and present detailed analyses on the optical filtering tolerance of Chirped RZ-DQPSK under the condition of filter detuning.
