Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In search radar, the number of signal samples (pulse hits) observed is generally a few. Therefore, suppression of the clutter by a filter such as MTI (moving target indicators) must be achieved with only a few signal samples. The duration of transient response of the filter, which is equal to the order of the FIR filter, is desirable to be short because it cannot be used for the target detection. The adaptive array is useful for the suppresion of the sidelobe clutter because the transient response does not come out. We have proposed the beamspace adaptive array using the virtual incident signals, whose performance is little affected by the number of the samples of the observed clutter. In this report, the reduction of the order of the FIR clutter suppression filters is examined with pre-processing by the beamspace adaptive array using the virtual incident signals.
