Calculation of Basic Parameters of Resonator in Time Domain

Abstract(in English) The authors propose a new time domain method to obtain the basic parameters for a resonator such as resonant frequency, unloaded Q, external Q and coupling coefficient using the FDTD method. Though the FDTD method analyzes the EM filed in the time domain, Fourier transformation of the time response for a pulse input is usually carried out. The present method saves the computation time not only by omitting the process but by shortening the time domain calculation itself. It comes from the fact that the coupling between the external circuit and the resonator is quite frequency-selective.
