Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A conventional microstrip-line to waveguide transition is constructed with microstrip probe inserted into the waveguide through an aperture in the E-plane wall and with a quarter-wavelength back-short. This transition has a simple structure and a good performance. However, it has a problem that the transition is thick because of the quarter-wavelength back-short. We propose a compact microstrip-line to waveguide transition with a septum. The proposed transition has been verified by experiment and simulation.
