Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A coplanar waveguide can be easily loaded with a series reactance by making a double structure of the strip conductor using a coplanar waveguide configuration to advantage. In this paper, we propose a new broadband CPW branch-line coupler with series open-circuited λ/4 stubs inserted at each port of a branch-line circuit as a matching network. In addition, two ways of miniaturization designs are attempted by reducing the length of the matching stubs and the ring line sections by utilization of series and shunt stubs and an artificial transmission line with periodic reactance loading. As a result, considerable downsizing is achieved without destroying the broadband characteristics.
