Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper deals with the following issues in scaling out SIP servers with a LB (load balancer): to execute SIP Digest certainly and to specify a SIP server maintaining information registered by a callee. To execute SIP Digest certainly, we have adopted the following methodologies: 1) a proxy has a rule which SIP server maintains which telephone numbers and 2) in receiving a REGISTER method, the proxy learns a pair of a UA and a SIP server to send the method and, with the pair, the proxy selects a SIP server to send an initial INVITE method. To specify a SIP server with register information of a callee, a proxy also selects a SIP server with the rule and a telephone number in To-header of an INVITE method. Our design can scale out SIP servers with secure SIP method execution in order to cope with rapid spread of a carrier IP telephone service.
