| Abstract(in English) | Research activities of far infrared application for pedestrian detection have been very active. A far infrared image display as a vision assistance for a driver, a driver warning device of pedestrian detection result and so on have been introduced into market. In this paper, characteristics of far infrared ray, characteristics of far infrared image and image processing, and trends of far infrared application for pedestrian detection will be presented. |
