Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper reports a method to evaluate the security of vein pattern based biometric authentication systems by using artificial objects. A test tube sandwiched by a piece of paper with printed arbitrary image pattern and a colored vinyl tape for controlling light diffusion and transparency is proposed as an test artificial finger for finger vein authentication systems. Some experiments conducted using such test artificial fingers are described.
