Abstract(in English) | To provide IP telephony or multimedia services which request a high quality communication, QoS (Quality of Service) characteristic of a network or switch, router has to be evaluated. However, a traffic pattern of a real network application is very complex. So we can't judge whether the application can use over the IP network or not by the general traffic load evaluation. To use a network application, there must be a real service environment with some real servers and clients, so that the evaluation will be not easy. In this paper, we show a traffic emulator which generates a real application traffic, and a method that can evaluate an QoS characteristic of the network or switch, router easily and low cost. |
