Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This report studies media synchronization control with prediction as QoS control in a remote calligraphy system using haptic interface devices. In the system, a teacher instructs a student at a remote location how to write characters while conveying the sense of force through the Internet. The control can keep the media output quality high not only by absorbing network delay jitter by buffering, but also by outputting the positional information with prediction when the positional information is lossed. By experiment, we demonstrate the effectivenes of the control.
