Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For real-time WLAN applications, Quality of Service (QoS) technologies for WLANs represent a key challenge to support such kinds of applications. Existing techniques to control the QoS, the Enhanced Distributed Channel Access (EDCA) is investigated so far. However it becomes clear that packet collision probability becomes higher as the number of simultaneous VoIP calls increases, which results in voice quality degradation. This report proposes the techniques for suppression of packet collisions by dynamic EDCA parameters setting. Simulation results show that performance of proposed method is better than EDCA in packet loss ratio and throughput.
