| 抄録(和) | 本講演では、OFC/NFOEC2006のOFC Category B: Amplifiers and Lasers: Fiber or Waveguideに関連した発表論文のレビューを行い、同分野の最新動向を紹介する。この分野は、光増幅技術の成熟度が高いこともあり、画期的な技術展開というよりむしろ、基礎から非通信応用まで多様化した地道なトピックスを広く含む傾向にある。その中で特に注目を集めたのは、カーボンナノチューブを用いた高速可飽和吸収体デバイス、シリコン導波路でのラマン増幅や四光波混合発生、ファイバ非線形を応用した光の位相信号再生、高出力ファイバ・アンプなどと言える。 |
| 抄録(英) | This presentation provides a review of OFC/NFOEC2006, with respect to OFC Category B: Amplifiers and Lasers: Fiber or Waveguide. The recent trends in this category show a wide variety of diverse topics from fundamental materials to non-telecom applications of the state-of-the-art technologies. Among these, topics such as carbon nanotube based saturable absorber devices, Raman amplification and four-wave mixing in Si waveguides, all optical regeneration of optical phase using highly nonlinear fibers, extremely high power operation of fiber amplifiers are highlighted particularly this year. |
