Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) There is the strong relationship between the SoC architecture and the memory characteristic. The SoC architecture should be designed considering the memory characteristics like the random access capability and burst transfer performance. From the SoC architecture point of view, the requirements to the memory are; 1) small area size, 2) high speed access, 3) low power consumption, 4) non-volatility, and 5) reusability among the technology generation. There is a trade off among these requirements, and it is required to carefully consider the trade off and the features of the memory characteristic for the SoC design.
