Acoustic resonant gas oscillation and streaming in a cylindrical closure

Abstract(in English) Acoustic resonant gas oscillation and acoustic streaming formed in a cylindrical closure is numerically studied by solving the system of Navier-Stokes equations with a finite-difference method. The velocity field of acoustic streaming in the closure is examined for various driving frequencies. It is found that the streaming velocity field is considerably distorted as the driving frequency approches the resonant frequency.
