Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The relationship between indices of eye-movement and usability of an input operational task was examined. We prepared three type of input devices as the pointing device: mouse, cursor keys and a small remote controller. A simple pointing task was given to subjects and their eye-movement and blink were measured during the task. Eye-movement divided into gaze and saccaded, saccade frequency, saccade length and saccade time were extracted. Saccade frequency increased with the system usability score for input device, the frequencies for cursor keys and a remote controller were significantly higher than one for control condition. Other indices were also affected by the input operations and their usability. Additionally, possibility of temporal observation was examined.
