Evaluations of SDMA Packet Cellular Systems with Circular or Planar Array Antennas for Base Station

Abstract(in English) For SDMA Packet Cellular systems, authors design circular array antenna applied for all horizontal directions in sight and planar array antenna in some sight. And we evaluated SDMA throughput performance by system level simulation. Simulations results show that the beam only SDMA throughput used the planar array 3 to 4 times than omni antenna and that of the circular array 4 to 6 times than that. On the other hand, the beam and null SDMA throughput used the planar array 3 to 4 times in same case of beam only and the circular array 4 to 8 times. The ground of the same value for the planar array is that the beam and null antenna pattern affects to the neighbor sub array regions and interferences rises.
