Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, light-induced self-written (LISW) optical waveguide seems to be an optimum at fiber connection in the single-mode optical network system. This technology does not need any fiber alignment. In our previous work, we reported the formation of the single-mode optical waveguide with over 3cm. In this report, we success the formation of the branch by LISW. The post-branch waveguides satisfied the single-mode condition at 1.3μm.
