Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The human intafacing system to detect the direction and distance of voluntary eye gaze movement from EOG (electrooculogram) was investigated. In this study, a method to detect 8-class directions and 2-class distances of voluntary eye gaze movements from AC-amplified vertical and horizontal EOGs was proposed. This technique could avoid strict eye tracking which required DC amplification of very small signal. It was found that this technique enabled detection of eye gaze movement with high correct rate by AC-amplified EOG. It may be useful to develop robust human inter facing system based on menu selection for severely paralyzed patients.
