Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For prescription with a myoelectric prosthetic hand for upper extremity amputee, the three items are necessary. The first item is to choose the best location of electrodes. The second is to train myoelectric signal generation. The last is to separate muscular activity. Because of the atrophy of muscle and alteration of muscle location, we need to choose the electrodes position where the amplitude of myoelectric signal is high. As the control of a prosthetic hand is changing form an on-off control mode to a proportional control mode, we can not carry out the training of proportional control in conventional training. In this study, we developed a myoelectric prosthetic hand prescription support system. This system includes the selection of the best electrode location that used multi electrodes, the myoelectric signal generation and the muscular activity separation training and proportional control training.
