Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) N1m components in auditory evoked magnetic field in response to pairs of tones producing backward masking were measured. The dependency of N1m peak amplitude on the signal and masker tone intensities was measured and modeled assuming that it was proportional to some power of the output of a temporal window assumed to exist in the auditory system. The model predicted the experimental results to a satisfactory degree and was able to explain some interesting features of the experimental results.
