| 抄録(和) | インターネット技術の成熟化に伴って、現在、次世代ネットワークアーキテクチャ、新世代ネットワークアーキテクチャに関する議論が開始されつつある。ここでは特に情報ネットワーク分野における基礎研究に焦点を当て、その役割についてまず考察する。中でも、システムのモデル化と性能評価のこれまでの役割を概観し、現状における問題点を指摘する。次に、今後のネットワークアーキテクチャにとって必要なこと、その中で基礎研究が果たすべき役割としてネットワーク科学の重要性について述べる。その例として、「ロバスト性」について考える。最後に、フォトニックネットワークの今後の方向性について論じる。 |
| 抄録(英) | As the Internet technologies are matured, next-generation or new-generation network architecture is now getting more attention. In this article, we focus on the basic research in the information network field, in order to discuss its role for advancements of network architecture researches. For this purpose, we first review roles of system modeling and its performance evaluation in the past researches, and point out its problems that we are facing. Then, we raise several issues for the new network architecture, and discuss the role of basic researches, especially, new "network science." As an example, robustness is considered. Finally, future directions of optical networks are discussed. |
