Abstract(in English) Research and development is progressing for the purpose of the information barrier-free to those who have a handicap in vision. In this report, questionnaire investigation results for visually impaired people are described, which is performed in order to grasp a utilization condition of digital broadcasting or web and to grasp their request. Also the information presentation method, that total blindness and low vision persons can easily understand the image and class composition of a GUI screen by using a sound, Braille, an enlargement letter, and a tactile presentation, is described. In this system, the information on the markup language which constitutes GUI in data broadcasting is changed into XML tag data, then this is made into a common database, and a various presentation form is created. Thereby, users can choose the information presentation environment on their suited.
