Development of 60-fiber cable without slotted-rod

Abstract(in English) More fiber count cable would be required for aerial cable as the growth of FTTH. However, an aerial cable without slotted-rod is still up to 40 fiber counts while SZ slotted cable fiber count has already been up to 640 fiber counts. Then, we newly developed and tested two types of the aerial cables without slotted-rod with more fiber count than now. One is 60-fiber count self-supported slack type cable without slotted-rod using 15×4-fiber ribbons, and the other is 64-fiber count round type cable without slotted-rod using 8×8-fiber ribbons. In this paper, we report about them.
