Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In late years, mobile terminals have been spread widely and there has been an enormous increasing interest in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET). The route construction schemes of the existing routing algorithms usually use the shortest hop algorithm and do not consider the residual quantity of battery in terminal nodes. However, since the each node operates on using battery as power supply, it is better to restrain the consumption of battery as much as possible. In this paper, we propose a battery-aware route discovery scheme, in which each node compares the own residual quantity of battery with those of neighbors and the terminal which has the least residual battery does not relay a route request packet. Our proposed scheme can build a long life time route and save the battery of each node as long as possible.
