Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Recently, there is increasing demand of Quality-of-Service (QoS) assurance for virtual private networks (VPNs). In particular, TCP traffic, that occupies huge amount of share in the Internet, requires the minimum bandwidth assurance to stabilize their performance. Moreover, improvement of the network utilization is another kind of major demand. In this paper, we propose a provisioning algorithm of network resources for VPN hose bandwidth allocation method that effectively achieves the minimum bandwidth assurance for VPNs. In detail, our algorithm first verifies whether the network can accept the customers' demand or not, then it computes the weight values in the bandwidth allocation method. We formulate the proposed algorithm and verify the practical effectiveness through its demonstration.
